America 250 Bookmark Design Contest On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. To celebrate, this year’s bookmark contest theme is to create a patriotic bookmark in honor of America’s 250th birthday.Winning designs will be chosen by the Friends of the Library board. 1st place bookmarks from each age group will be professionally printed and featured during ICPL’s Summer Reading program.
