What is AnyBookSale.com?
AnyBookSale.com is a free directory of upcoming used book sales across the United States. We list library sales, Friends of the Library events, bag sales, and other used book fairs — searchable by state, city, and date.
Is it free to use?
Yes, completely free. No account, no sign-up, no fees — ever. Just browse and find sales near you.
How do I find sales near me?
Use the Browse Sales page to filter by state or city. You can also use the Map view to see all nearby sales on an interactive map, or click "Near me" to show distance from your location.
How do I get notified about new sales in my state?
Visit the Get Notified page and enter your email and preferred state. We send a weekly digest of upcoming sales — no spam, unsubscribe anytime.
How current is the data?
Our listings are scraped and updated daily. New sales submitted by organizers are reviewed and approved within 1–2 business days.
What does "Happening Now" mean?
It means the sale has already started and is still running today — so you can go right now!
What is the Trip Planner?
The Trip Planner lets you select multiple upcoming sales and generate a multi-stop driving route in Google Maps — great for planning a weekend book hunting trip. No sign-in required.
Can I see sales on a map?
Yes. On the Browse Sales page, click the "Map" toggle in the top right. Sales are color-coded by urgency: green = happening now or this week, gold = this month, gray = coming soon, blue = ongoing.
For Organizers
How do I list my book sale?
Visit the Submit a Sale page and fill out the short form. Listings are free and are reviewed within 1–2 business days. Once approved, your sale appears in search results and on the map.
How do I update or remove my listing?
Email us at hello@anybooksale.com with your sale name and the changes you need. We'll update it within one business day.
Can I feature my sale at the top of results?
Yes. Featured sales get a prominent gold card at the top of the Browse Sales page and appear on the homepage. Visit the Feature Your Sale page to learn more.
Is there a deadline to submit?
No hard deadline, but we recommend submitting at least a week before your sale so it has time to be approved and indexed.
What types of sales can I submit?
Library book sales, Friends of the Library sales, used book fairs, bag sales, half-price days, charity book sales, and similar community events. We don't list individual sellers or online-only sales.
